Technology in the Room
I watched a video that was entitled Giving "Em the Business. The lesson was geared toward first and second grade. Within a small group they had to create a food product to sell. They had to create ways to advertise it, sell it and make a profit. The video shows many detailed parts about the unit project. I teach community and products and could see myself trying to incorporate a mini-lesson using some of what was viewed. I think the most difficult part would be working together as a group and making group decisions. I will store the site in my profile and incorporate it in the spring.

I agree - though the skills involved in group work give you a great deal in making sure 21st century skills are met.
The groupwork is likely the most difficult, but with the Language Arts portfolios that they'll have to complete in the later grades, groupwork is assessed continually throughout the year. Trust me, as an upper level teacher, we love it when you try those activities out with your class. It makes a huge difference when they come to us.
Working as a group is a life long skill. You can't start too early getting them going with it.
